EXPERIENCE
Tom Jehn
Tom. Jehn is the Sosland Director of Harvard’s Expository Writing Program, where he has taught and administered for the past 20 years. He has been regularly awarded Harvard's Certificate of Excellence in Teaching. He has directed the Harvard Writing Project, a professional development and publications program for faculty members and graduate student instructors across the disciplines at the University. He serves on the Standing Committee on Admissions and Financial Aid, the Committee on Academic Integrity, and the Ad Hoc Committee on Writing and Speaking. He has directed the Harvard Writing Project, a professional development and publications program for faculty members and graduate student instructors across the disciplines at the University. He designed and oversaw Harvard’s first community outreach writing and speaking center at the Harvard Allston Education Portal, where he now serves as a member of its Advisory Board. He has also directed the writing center for Harvard’s Extension School. He has been a contributing author for a series of best-selling composition textbooks published by Bedford/St. Martin’s Press. As the program officer and board member for the Calderwood Writing Initiative at the Boston Athenaeum, an arts and education charity, he designed and led financing for university-partnered writing centers at eight Boston city high schools serving more than 3,000 students. In addition to advising universities and public and private secondary school on writing curricula, he has taught numerous professional development courses on writing pedagogy for instructors across the country. He conducts communications training for a variety of companies and non-profits. He holds a B.A. from the University of Chicago and an M.A. and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Virginia.
Jane Rosenzweig
Jane Rosenzweig is the Director of the Harvard Writing Center, where she oversees a tutoring program that serves the Harvard community. In addition to training and supervising a staff of 22 tutors, she develops special writing programs and publications for the university. She also teaches expository writing to Harvard undergraduates, for which she is regularly awarded the University’s Certificate of Distinction in Teaching. In 2007 she was nominated for Harvard’s Levenson Award for excellence in teaching. Ms. Rosenzweig is a co‐author of a series of best‐selling composition textbooks published by Bedford/St. Martin’s Press. Along with Tom, she has run communications training for a wide variety of organizations, from a family investment office to . . . . She has been a staff editor at the Atlantic Monthly and a member of the fiction staff at the New Yorker. Her work has appeared in Glimmer Train, Seventeen, The May Anthology of Oxford and Cambridge Short Stories, The American Prospect, the Boston Globe, the Boston Phoenix, Utne Reader, and The Chronicle Review. She holds degrees from Yale University (B.A.), (M.Litt.), and the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop (M.F.A in fiction writing).
